I’ve had a blast trying out new recipes using Castle Valley Mill‘s polenta.  It’s given me so many options to create new starchy sides. Polenta Fries – We finally have a local mill!

I am super excited that this past weekend we met Mark Fischer from Castle Valley Mill, located in Bucks County, PA.  He’s the first to process grain around here, so already many local businesses and restaurants are looking to buy his product (he just started in January).  For the very reasonable price of $5/2 lb bag, we bought grits/polenta and whole wheat flour.  Everything still contains the germ so they need to be stored in the fridge or freezer.  Isn’t … Continue reading
